O-An Zendo is dedicated to the core practice of zazen or sitting meditation. The zendo is open every Sunday for a regular meditation service at 10 a.m.
Our Sunday service includes chanting, sitting and walking meditation, and a Dharma talk. Our schedule is as follows:
9:50 am – Han (wooden gong) is struck calling practitioners to the zendo
10:00 – 10:10am – morning service
10:10 – 10:40am – zazen (sitting meditation)
10:40 – 10:55am – indoor kinhin (walking meditation)
10:55 – 11:10am – zazen
11:10 – 11:40am – Dharma talk
11:40 – 11:55am – outdoor kinhin
11:55am – 12:00pm – closing circle
12:00 – 1:00pm – tea/dessert and discussion of practice

Private meetings (dokusan) with our teacher are available by appointment.
