O-An Zendo is financially self-supporting through regular memberships, donations (dana), and contributions of time and materials by its sangha, visitors, and friends.

Dana, the cultivation of generosity, is considered the First Perfection of Buddhist practice, and O-An encourages its members and visitors to offer dana as an expression of gratitude for the priceless gift of the Dharma. A dana box is kept in the zendo entryway.

Becoming a member of O-An and offering dana in a variety of forms enables the zendo to meet its operating expenses and to maintain its building and grounds.

Members and others who practice at O-An are encouraged to support the zendo financially. Those who do not attend the zendo regularly, but who wish to support its mission and activities, are also encouraged to make a contribution.

Because O-An Zendo is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, all donations are tax deductible. O-An is governed by a board of directors who are elected to two-year terms and manage the zendo’s program and upkeep for the welfare of the sangha.

If you wish to become a member of O-An Zendo or to be a ZenDonor, please Contact Us. You can send your contribution to: O-An Zendo, 1 Endless Circle, Julian, PA, 16844, or send it electronically via www.paypal.com to zendonor@oanzendo.org.

We deeply appreciate your generosity and support, in whatever form they take!
